Welcome to the Advocates’ page!
At Stretton Sugwas Church of England Academy, we aim to create an honest and open atmosphere in all that we do.
Advocates (formerly referred to as Governors) play an important strategic role in the life of the school. They work on behalf of Orchard Multi-Academy Trust to provide support, challenge and oversight, ensuring that the school continues to offer the very best education and care for all pupils.
Advocates are responsible for setting the strategic direction of the school, monitoring standards and progress, overseeing safeguarding arrangements, and ensuring that resources are used effectively. They do not manage the day-to-day running of the school but work closely with school leaders to hold them to account and support continuous improvement.
